Women’s Wrinkle-Resistant Travel Clothes

One of the biggest challenges when packing for a trip is finding clothes that look stylish enough for city exploring but won’t come out of the suitcase a wrinkled mess and smell by the end of the day. I want to look put-together while sightseeing, but I also need fabrics that wick sweat, dry quickly, and can handle a quick sink wash. Athleisure brands are perfect to put together the best travel outfits —they don’t look like workout gear, but they definitely perform like it.

So here I present some of my favorite pieces for easy outfits for traveling abroad. All of these pieces work well together to create a travel capsule wardrobe, if you will, so that I don’t overpack and can stick to a carry-on. My two favorite brands for women’s travel clothes are Athleta and Beyond Yoga. Even after hours of walking in these outfits, my clothes still looked good and—amazingly—smelled fresh. That’s no small feat when you’re working up a sweat!

My Favorite Travel Pieces from Athleta

Here are some of the Athleta pieces I brought with me on recent trips and why they worked so well:

1. Endless High Rise Pant
   These pants are sleek and stylish, perfect for going from a day of exploring straight to dinner. They wick sweat well and don’t cling, so I stayed comfortable even while navigating those steep Lisbon streets.
2. Brooklyn Mid Rise Ankle Pant
   These pants are breathable and look surprisingly polished for something so comfortable. They’re great for walking around all day and dry quickly after a wash, making them perfect for multi-day trips.
3. With Ease Rib Tee
   This tee is soft and breathable, and it looks like a casual top rather than a workout shirt. After a long day of sightseeing, it didn’t feel sweaty or clingy, and it dried fast after a quick wash.
4. Everywhere Jacket
   This jacket doesn’t have the typical “athletic” look, but it’s lightweight and easy to pack. It’s a great layering piece for cooler evenings or early mornings, and it handled a quick sink wash with no problem. It also has a hood that zips up when not needed.

My Favorite Travel Pieces from Beyond Yoga

I’m also a big fan of Beyond Yoga, especially for their super soft and lightweight fabrics. A couple of pieces have become travel essentials for me:

1. Spacedye Movement Skirt
   This skirt is an absolute dream—soft, stretchy, and wrinkle-free, with shorts under the skirt with pockets. It pairs just as well with sneakers as it does with sandals. (I also wear this pretty much every weekend at home!)
2. Featherweight Tee
   This tee feels like a cloud. It’s lightweight, airy, and ideal for warmer climates. I love that it doesn’t look like activewear but still has that breathable, quick-drying quality. It’s great for layering, too!
